Greetings from the Artist: Bag-O-Bones

Big Picture For many users of iTunes and iPods, matching CD cover art to songs in an MP3 collection has become an obsession, like stamp collecting. Despite trips to the iTunes store and Amazon.com, half of the songs in your collection display nothing more than that annoying "Drag Album Artwork Here" message in the corner of the iTunes window, and a sad little void on your iPod screen sad face.

This site presents some of the cover art that I've made for my own use. It features my entire collection of vinyl 45 rpm jacket covers. It also contains a few album covers (there will be more) made from CD inserts and vinyl album jackets. All of the cover art here measures 7 x 7 inches, averages 60 kb (100 kb max), and has been lovingly Photoshopped to their original beauty by yours truly.

If you use any of these covers, or if you just enjoy looking at them, be sure to sign the Guestbook and tell ol' Bonesy that his efforts are appreciated.

Wait a minute...did you say vinyl?

Uh, yes. The objects d'arte in this collection are pre-90s. No M&Ms, no Fifty Cents, none of the thump-music that sounds as if it were composed to attract sand worms on the planet Dune. If you don't remember the "Paul is dead" rumor, you'll have no need for these covers. But you might enjoy looking at them anyway.

Choose a gallery below and find a masterpiece that you can rip-off!

The 45 rpm Singles Jacket Gallery
Singles Icon Instead of the usual CD insert, try a lovingly restored original 45 rpm record jacket. Mostly 80's pop, but two original covers from the 60s. See the entire collection at the gallery.
The Album Cover Gallery
Albums Icon I've made many album covers for my own use, but this category is a bit thin for now. That's because it includes only covers that I couldn't easily find elsewhere. (No point in providing my Rolling Stones covers!) But with a garage full of vinyl, this will be the fastest growing category in the future.
The Anthology Cover Gallery
Anthologies Icon Anthologies are a great way to supply cover art for all those MP3s that you acquired as cherry-picked singles. Purists may scoff that only a proper album cover will do, but get real. Do you think you're really going to find cover art for "Pictures of Matchstick Men" (1969) by the Status Quo? Go ahead, take the anthology cover. Complete song lists provided at the gallery. Cover art made from CD inserts and vinyl record jackets.
